Daytime 50th Ceremony Postponed

We have made the difficult decision to postpone the 50th Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards in response to the current strike by the Writers Guild of America (WGA).

Originally scheduled to be telecast on CBS on June 16, with a Creative Arts & Lifestyle Ceremony on June 17, we now intend to hold the ceremonies at a later date pending the resolution of the strike (as well as potential other actions which may result from pending negotiations between the studios and the DGA and SAG-AFTRA).

We made many efforts to resolve the event challenges created by the strike and potential picketing of the ceremonies, but ultimately, in consultation with our production company, the network, and the Executive Committee, could not see a path forward to holding the cohesive, celebratory community event our Golden Anniversary warrants.

A public announcement will be forthcoming from NATAS and CBS in about an hour, with the following official statement:

The 50th Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards planned for Friday, June 16 on CBS is postponed due to the WGA strike. In addition, the Creative Arts & Lifestyle ceremony, planned for Saturday, June 17, has been postponed pending a strike resolution. We look forward to our community gathering together as one to celebrate our Golden Anniversary and all of the talented nominees and honorees at a later date.
