Director, TeleXitos
Barbara Alfonso is the 1st Vice President and Trustee of the Suncoast Chapter. She is the Director of TeleXitos, the Spanish-language multicast network owned by the Telemundo Station Group. In this role, Alfonso is responsible for the overall management of the digital network’s programming, broadcast, sales and digital operations.
Alfonso’s career in the broadcast industry spans over 25 years. Before being named Director of TeleXitos, she worked as the Manager for Programming, Public Relations and Community Marketing for NBC 6 South Florida / WTVJ from 2009 to 2014. Before this, Alfonso served as Programming Manager for WTVJ from 2003 to 2009 and Program Administrator from 1998 to 2003.
Alfonso holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management and a Master’s of Science in Organizational Learning and Leadership from Barry University. She is a member of the Board of Governor’s for Suncoast Chapter of the National Academy of Television of Arts and Sciences (NATAS).
