OVERVIEW:
Jacob Ullman marks his eleventh year as Senior Vice President of Production and Talent Development for FOX Sports in 2026. In his current role, Ullman, a ten-time Emmy Award winner, helps oversee all facets of the production of FOX’s NFL game as well as NASCAR and INDYCAR race broadcasts.
He is heavily involved in coordinating announcers, producers and directors in their broadcast preparation and in managing FOX Sports’ relationships with the various leagues. Ullman coordinates any interaction between the game and the studio broadcasts during a live event, in addition to assuring all commercial and sales enhancements are fulfilled. He also assists with the auditioning, evaluation and acquisition of on-air talent for FOX Sports. Among the announcers that Ullman identified for FOX in his career are Kevin Burkhardt, Greg Olsen and Kevin Harvick.


A STORIED HISTORY WITH FOX SPORTS:
Ullman has filled various jobs in his more than 30 years at FOX Sports, beginning with his duties logging sports highlights in 1994. He worked as a researcher in 1995, providing statistical information for announcers and production staff, before moving into production in 1996 as a production assistant. Ullman began working on the road in 1997 as a broadcast associate for the Dick Stockton/Matt Millen NFL crew. He continued as an NFL broadcast associate through the 2002 season, when he worked with FOX’s lead announcing crew – Joe Buck and
Troy Aikman. For the 2003 and 2004 NFL seasons, Ullman served as a sideline producer.
He was heavily involved in NFL Europe, living and working in Europe in the spring from
1997 through 2006. He served in various capacities while overseas, including as a broadcast associate, an associate director, a producer and coordinating producer. Ullman remained the coordinating producer of NFL Europe from 2002-06, managing every aspect of the television operation of the league based in London and Amsterdam.
Ullman was promoted to Director of Production Operations in 2005 and oversaw
post-production in FOX Sports’ Los Angeles office, helping coordinate commercial integration
into broadcasts on air days. He served in that capacity until his promotion to Director of
Remote Production in 2007, during which he was charged with helping oversee all facets
of FOX’s NFL, MLB, NASCAR and BCS Broadcasts.
In 2011, he was named the Coordinating Producer for FOX Sports. Ullman’s time at FOX Sports is highlighted by the major events on which he has worked, including all eleven of FOX’s Super Bowl broadcasts, the World Series, the MLB All-Star Game, the Daytona 500,
the INDY 500, the BCS Championship Game, the Stanley Cup and many others. Ullman became Vice President of Production in 2012, and added Talent Development to his duties in 2014. He was named Senior Vice President in January 2016.


STUDENT EXPERIENCE:
His entry into sports came as an announcer at KSCR, the University of Southern California’s student radio station. Ullman worked there from 1991-95 and served as the sports director during the 1994-95 school year. In addition, he also worked in the Athletic Department during his time at USC in the Development Office. His start in the TV industry began as an intern and production assistant at the regional sports network Prime Ticket from 1993-94. His stint at FOX began in June 1994 while finishing his senior year at USC.


PERSONAL:
A 1995 graduate of USC, Ullman earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism with a minor in Sports Studies. His family history at USC has spanned four generations starting with his great-grandmother Elizabeth Brewster Jordan who graduated in 1928. His connection with USC continues to this day, and he was elected to a two-year term on the Alumni Association Board of Governors in April 2018. He currently serves on the Executive Board for House of Victory, USC Athletics’ Official NIL Sponsor.
He also serves on the Board of Directors for two charities – the Lott Impact Foundation and Westcoast Sports Associates and on the Advisory Board for another charity –
Orange County Youth Sports Foundation. In addition, Ullman is on the Advisory Board
for the Sports Video Group and serves on the Program Advisory Committee for the
Dan Patrick School of Sportscasting at Full Sail University.
Ullman was born in Newport Beach, Calif., where he currently resides with his wife,
Xandi, daughter, Skylar (15), and son, Nolan (11).
