Joseph P. Koskovics is a multi-disciplinary media professional whose 53-year career in television and production has been defined by a deep commitment to meaningful, well-crafted storytelling. His work has earned three Regional Emmy™ Award nominations in Ohio, along with multiple additional industry honors. In the early 2000s, he wrote and produced the local technology program TECH for the Community College Channel, along with several other locally significant programs. Today, he continues his work as an independent producer and writer.
For more than two decades, Joseph has served the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) in numerous leadership roles within the Central Great Lakes Chapter, including Governor, Rules Committee Chair, Emmy Awards™ Chair, Alternate Trustee, Trustee, Parliamentarian, and First Vice President. Most recently, he led a comprehensive rewrite of the Central Great Lakes Bylaws and Standing Rules.
At the national level, he has served as National Rules Committee Chair since 2014 and contributed to the 2014 National Bylaws rewrite. In 2019, he and his co-chair guided the multi-year Rules Review Committee effort that modernized and restructured the National Bylaws, expanding membership opportunities with NATAS.
Outside the television industry, Joseph is an avid Amateur Radio Operator and active volunteer with Amateur Radio Emergency Services in his region. He has presented at the nation’s second-largest Amateur Radio gathering and is completing an introductory book for Technician Class Radio Operators, slated for publication in 2027.
