Michelle McHugh

Trustee, Mid-Atlantic Regional Chapter
Michelle McHugh represents the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. She is a veteran television producer, writer and Emmy Award recipient. Michelle is currently the Associate Director of Drexel University’s Television Management Graduate Program, based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Michelle spent nearly twenty years in the television industry, working as a producer and executive producer in the Philadelphia market after relocating to Pennsylvania from her native home of North Carolina, where she worked as a Senior Executive Producer of News at WGHP-Television. She is a past president of the Mid-Atlantic NATAS Chapter and has been an active member of NATAS throughout her career.
Michelle received her undergraduate degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. She holds a Masters in Interactive Media from Quinnipiac University and teaches at the graduate and undergraduate level.
Michelle also serves on a number of other boards and has dedicated her life to civic engagement. She volunteers as a marketing and communications advisor for iHi International, which is dedicated to improving the lives of Vulnerable International People (VIPs) around the world.
