45th News & Documentary Emmy® Awards
The 45th News & Documentary Emmy® Awards were presented as two individual ceremonies. Jane Pauley, the Emmy-winning journalist, anchor, and author, was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her esteemed career in news broadcasting. The award was presented to her by Rand Morrison, Executive Producer of CBS Sunday Morning.
Highlights
W. Kamau Bell, Emmy and Peabody Award-winning host, filmmaker, and stand-up comedian, served as host for the evening. Alex Gibney, revered documentarian, director, and producer, was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to the field of documentary filmmaking. The award was presented by Sheila Nevins, Documentary Filmmaker and Television Producer.
