Alison Gibson’s career in broadcast television and digital media started 35 years ago in The Netherlands, where she produced documentaries, dramas, children’s and live cultural programs for the Dutch broadcaster TROS. Her work has been recognized with a variety of awards, including an International Emmy® award.


On her return to America, Alison continued to focus on documentary production and live national telecasts of cultural programs for PBS at KQED-TV in San Francisco. She is currently a media specialist for Maddie’s Fund, a non-profit foundation serving the animal welfare community where she oversees webcasting and conference productions for their education department.


Alison has served NATAS nationally as Trustee, 2nd Vice Chair and as Treasurer, as well as Treasurer for its Foundation. She currently serves as Treasurer for the San Francisco/Northern California chapter and is a member of the National Scholarship and Strategic Planning Committees. As Education Chair for her chapter (1999-2010), she developed new media initiatives that brought national recognition and funding for the chapter’s media literacy program. Her work for the chapter was honored with the Governor’s Distinguished Service Award.
