Thirteen time Emmy Award-winning journalist Teresa Rodríguez is co-anchor of Univision’s primetime award winning weekly newsmagazine program, Aquí y Ahora, (Here and Now), which features investigative and consumer stories on a number of important issues facing U.S. Hispanics, as well as interviews with leading newsmakers, politicians and celebrities. She is the recipient of a George Foster Peabody Award and a Silver Angel Award for Excellence in Media. She was also honored with the Silver Circle Award from the Suncoast, Florida chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. In 2016, she received a GLAAD award for her special, “En Cuerpo Ajeno,” (“In a Foreign Body”), which examined the lives of four transgender individuals. It was the first time that Univision dedicated an hour of prime-time programming to the topic. Last year she won another GLAAD outstanding journalism award for her story on a well-known Venezuelan singer and her transgender son. She is the best-selling author of the book, The Daughters of Juarez: A True Story of Serial Murder South of the Border, based on her more than 10 years of investigative reports on the abduction, rape, and murder of hundreds of women in Juarez, Mexico.
